Performance excerpt – Tension
Art of Spectra
Tension – what happens when we are restricted by our rooms? When our bodies are charged with energy and tension in relation to each other? How do we experience the relation between space and the body on a purely physical plane or through a philosophical perspective? What happens to that relationship in a social and political context? What is the conflict between the physical and the mental – does it exist?
Peter Svenzon and artist Ulriqa Fernqvist, both with backgrounds in music and dance, have with the formation of Art of Spectra 20 years ago, searched for an open multi-facetted form of expression where dance, theatre, music and graphic art become a new hybrid form of theatre with a quality almost within the realms of the cinematographic sphere.

Performance excerpt – Golden Extended
Maria Naidu – arms&legs
Golden (extended) serves up a cocktail of moving and grooving inspired by the 70s disco culture. A choreographic score by Malmö-based Maria Naidu performed by a cast of ten dancers. It is a selfstanding continuation and development of the solo Golden that premiered in November 2017. The work critically examines questions about representation on the Swedish dance scene today specifically related to ethnicity and is a tribute to all those who are rarely seen in great numbers on the Swedish stages.
Maria Naidu strives to make dance accessible to a large audience. Her primary tool is movement but she also uses other artforms, often in collaboration with other artists, to find ways of expression that best communicate her ideas. The choreographic work is recognized as textural multitude combined with theatrical detail.

Performance excerpt – what comes through
Ongoing Realities
Determined yet tired, humoristic yet dark, visionary yet dystopian – the performance what comes through collects fragments, seeks contact and passes by. It's as much yours as it is ours together and through a setting of voluntary interactivity it is an intimate exploration of movement, sound, vision, objects and space. Movement travels through, and is made up by, different digital and analogue mediums that together form more or less consistent stories that are ongoing, multiple and enclosing. The choreographic material is created connecting to textures and shapes found in the different room(s) and environments of the process, physical and virtual.
Anna Näsström and Johan Bandholtz form the choreography duo Ongoing Realities (OR), which explore dance and choreography in the context of digital technologies such as Motion Capture, animation, VR, AR, and AI. They create multi-sensory experiences for stage settings and other locations.

Performance excerpt – Wind Vigil
Virpi Pahkinen Dance Company
Virpi Pahkinen and three dancers journey into the hydrosphere, embodying transformations of water. Their movements may meander, as silent as snowfall or roar and flow before settling in the secretly structured, still clarity of a snow crystal. A collaboration with Sami artists, Wind Vigil features projections of artwork from Kristin Tårnesvik and poetry from Áillohas. We hear a broad range of multi-instrumentalist Roger Ludvigsen´s sounds, from music meditations gliding over the open landscape to electronic soundscapes and shamanistic five-beat rhythms.
The works of Swedish/Finnish choreographer and dancer Virpi are full of secrets. Onstage, she sometimes bodies a spiritual warrior, a spectral gardener, or a shaman in metamorphosis. Pahkinen is well known for her stunningly chiseled shapes and almost otherworldly moves that act like an incantation – creating a mysterious, meditative atmosphere.

Studio presentation – CUBE Series
Quatro
In the new series CUBE, we would like to use a performative apparatus to create an environment where all our values and attitudes toward the territory, locality, ecology of habitation, and porosity between private and public, are to be explored in an intricate choreography of bodies challenged, (un)framed and ultimately held by the cubic construction in the making.
Based in Stockholm, with roots in Brazil, Leandro & Anna collaborate with other artists, researchers, academics and institutions devoted to research and development in the art field. Engaged primarily with philosophical questions regarding power relations between body & object, exploring the limits of the body, they seek to generate thought and subjectivity through radical, visual and physical experiences.
